Train the trainers

The Malta Foundation School regularly trains appropriately qualified doctors and other health-care workers in assessor training and Educational Supervisor training. Training of the trainers is provided by the Malta Foundation School trainers, who were in turn trained by UKFPO trainers. Training is usually done face-to-face. All the Educational Supervisors and most Clinical Supervisors have had face-to-face training.

Those who did not yet have this opportunity, may start with the available online training. This website provides training in the Supervised Learning Events (SLEs) and Assessments, which can be accessed here.

In addition, the Malta Foundation School has developed the following training aids:

The Handbook for Educational Supervisors which can be downloaded from here.

The Assessor Quick Guide which can be downloaded from here.

The Malta Foundation School is also pleased to be able to use the e-training for trainers platform of the South Thames Foundation School and KSS Deanery, with their kind permission. Access this platform here.
